1. The Information We Collect and How We Use it
a. Personally Identifiable Information. We may collect personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) such as your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address from you. Personal Information is collected via voluntary submissions from you in connection with signing up to become a DMV Unplugged user. If you do not want to provide us with your Personal Information, you may still access the DMV Unplugged but you may not be able to participate in all DMV Unplugged features, including, without limitation, participating in message boards.
We do not share personally identifiable information with unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes without your prior permission. We ask you to keep in mind that if you voluntarily disclose personal information online – for example, in a forum made available through DMV Unplugged – that information can be viewed and used by others. Non-Personally Identifiable Information Certain non-personally identifiable information (“Non-Personal Information”) about our visitors is collected by the standard operation of our Internet servers and through the use of “cookies”. If you live in a state where consent of a parent or guardian is required if you are under the age of 18, you may be required by us to secure such consent prior to your registration with DMV Unplugged. If a child under the age of 13 has provided us with personally identifiable information, that child’s parent or legal guardian should contact us if they would like the information submitted by the child deleted from DMV Unplugged. We will use all reasonable efforts to delete such information from our database as soon as possible following our receipt of your request. 3. Opt-Out. If you do not want to receive email or other communications from us, please check-off the option in your personal profile which indicates your request not to receive any such communications. Please note that there might be a brief delay between when you submit your request to “opt-out” and when it is processed and reflected in our systems; accordingly you may continue to receive communications from us for a limited time after you unsubscribe. We appreciate your patience.
4. Links to Outside Third Parties: NDMG may establish relationships with business partners by creating a link between their sites and DMV Unplugged. NDMG is not, however, responsible for the content, maintenance or privacy policies of those sites. Once you click over to a third party site, NDMG encourages you to check its privacy policy.
DMV Unplugged may contain links to other sites whose information practices may be different than the information practices of NDMG. Users who click over to a third party site from a link on DMV Unplugged must be aware that NDMG makes no warranties with regard to that site’s policies or business practices. NDMG is not responsible for any transactions that occur between the user and the third party site. Please consult the other sites’ privacy policies, as NDMG has no control over information that is submitted to or collected by these third parties. Should a user purchase any products or services from that third party site, the user must contact the third party site directly regarding any disputes that might occur, including but not limited to delayed shipping, missing products, damaged goods or pricing and billing discrepancies.
